"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26

I remember the first meeting Eulala Pace and I, Kathy Young, went to at the Pacific Place concerning the desires to want to build a soup kitchen.  It has been a long time that Ron and Gail Eanes had the vision that God put on their hearts, to feed the hunger and the lonely people in need.  Some who has to make a decision over whether to eat or buy their meds. You know when God tells you to do something, you better do it. With much prayer and God speaking to the hearts of them and others working together it will one day be done by listening to God.

But first, let me tell you a story about how the property was donated to Breaking Bread for Jesus.

There was a man who owned the land (don't know his name) but he kept trying to sell the land to Mark Patterson.  He told him he didn't want it.  After several years, the man approached Mark and told him that the property was about to go into foreclosure and he didn't want anyone else to have since it was adjacent to his property. So after much prayer and seeking God's direction, Mark bought the property. Mark's  intentions were to have a doctor's office built and have a doctor to help others that were not able to pay for medical help and charge a minimum amount. In God's timing HE would provide one.

Well, God puts us in places for a reason, sometimes we don't like it  but we must pay attention and not question Him. After several attempts to find someone, God said patience, I have other plans.  No idea what it would be, but patience.

I work part-time at Living Waters Funeral Home and Mark's wife is Paula, the owner of Living Waters Funeral Home.  I was on my way to work one morning, passing by this lot, which I do every day, and God said, Kathy, wake up. HE said, Property!! Soup Kitchen!!. Now is that not a shock and eye opener. Couldn't wait to get to work and ask Paula had they ever considered donating this property to Breaking Bread for Jesus to build a Soup Kitchen. She agreed that was good idea and would talk to Mark.  Several weeks passed and I ask again and she forgot to mention it to Mark and said I should call Mark.  Well, God's timing again.  At lunch that very day, guess who walks in to  Living Waters.  You guessed it,  Mark.  I ask him about donating the land for a Soup Kitchen.  He said, ask Ron and Gail to call me.  It was all in God's timing again.  Ron and Gail met with Mark  and the land was donated with a stipulation that a room be built to have a doctor come in one day.  Yes. God's timing again.

After several years of Ron and Gail trying to find property, here it was under our eyes, but it had to be God's timing, not ours.

God is working and fulfilling Ron and Gail's vision with HIS help, the planning committee and volunteers.

Psalm 27:14 - "Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

Matthew 19:26 - "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible"

Ron and Gail's vision is being fulfilled with all the prayers that have gone up to God.  One day there will be a Soup kitchen on the property at 108 Astor Street, Wellford, SC and all because of someone having a vision.
